1000 Miglia Experience Greece 2026: Mission accomplished!

The 1000 Miglia Experience Greece 2026 took a turn of events that not even the most imaginative screenwriter could have predicted, which came to a close on Saturday, October 3, with the final day of action and a glittering awards ceremony at Astir Marina in Vouliagmeni.
After nearly 1,200 kilometers, first place in the penalties classification came down to… the age of the vehicle, as John and Chelly Houtcamp in an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 and Gianluigi and Federico Smussi in an MG TF 115 had exactly the same penalty points—469 each! Thus, the Dutch crew took first place, as their Alfa Romeo is from 1929, while the Italians’ MG was built in 2004. In third place on the list of drivers with the fewest penalty points were Fabrizio Macario and Giovanna Di Costanzo in a 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB.

John and Chelly Houtcamp, driving a 1927 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750, had the fewest penalty points in the “Historic Cars” class, followed by Giustino De Sanctis and Claudia Morbiducci in a 1954 Porsche 356 Speedster, with Umberto Galloni and Albert Wetz—also in a 1927 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750—rounding out the top three.
In the “1000 Miglia Eligible Cars” class, John and Chelly Houtcamp earned the fewest penalty points in their 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750, followed by Giustino De Sanctis and Claudia Morbiducci in a 1954 Porsche 356 Speedster, and Umberto Galloni and Albert Wetz, also in an Alfa Romeo 6C 1750, but built in 1927.

In the “Classic Icon Cars” class, Stephan Schrauwen and Anne Marie Clerckx earned the fewest penalty points in their 1969 Porsche 911 T 2.0L, followed by Ikuro and Yumico Matsuba in a 1972 Lancia Fulvia Monte Carlo and Stefano Pirola and Italo Rusconi in a 1995 Porsche 993.
In the “GT Cars and Supercars” class, Gianluigi and Federico Smussi took first place in an MG TF 115; Fabrizio Macario and Giovanna Di Costanzo came in second in a 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB; and Graziano Mancinelli and Silivia Claudia Barberi took third in a 2022 Ferrari 812 GTS.

In the “Italian Icon Super Cars” category, Fabrizio Macario and Giovanna Di Costanzo took first place in a 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB; second place went to Graziano Mancinelli and Silvia Claudia Barberi in a 2022 Ferrari 812 GTS, and third place to Fabio Bergamini and Anna Maria Fabrizi in a 2023 Ferrari SF 90 Spider.
Two crews had the fewest penalty points in the “San Lorenzo Yacht Trophy.” These were Graziano Mancinelli and Silvia Claudia Barberi in a 2022 Ferrari 812 GTS, and Giustino De Sanctis and Claudia Morbiducci in a 1954 Porsche 356 Speedster, who each accumulated 15 penalty points. Third place went to John and Chelly Houtcamp in a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750.

The “Best Lap Cup by Chopard” was won by John and Chelly Houtcamp in a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750, followed by Gianluigi and Federico Smussi in an MG TF 115 and Fabrizio Macario and Giovanna Di Costanzo in a 2022 Ferrari 296 GTB.
The top Greek crew was that of Giorgos Bakos and Spyros Kalivas in a 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster, while Dimitris Bakos was named best driver under 30 and Federico Smussi was named best co-driver under 30.

John and Chelly Houtman won the “Leonardo 500” and “Mixed Crew” trophies; Ikuro and Yumico Matsuba were the winners of the “Geoland Group Trophy”; and Ricardo Van Landschoot and Jeroen Bossier won the “Geoland Real Estate Trophy.”
